Update - Daniel Arce

On Tuesday the team decided to meet up in order to discuss the changes we would be making since recieving our pitch feedback. We decided to use many of the ideas suggested in the feedback and ended up changing the theme fairly substantially. Our new direction would focus around the user being accused of being a witch. In order to strengthen their case, the user would have to learn about protection charms before hand, and then go to various quest locations to help locals in an attempt to gain their support later on in the trial stage. If you helped all of the locals by providing the correct charm for each problem, then the trial stage would just involve them vouching for you and you then recieving a congratulations and a certificate code, which can be used to pick up a printed paper certificate at the reception. If you got all or a few questions wrong, then during the trial you would be given a second chance to answer correctly. If you answer too many wrong questions then the user would be executed for being a witch.

Another interesting idea suggested on Tuesday was the possibility of giving the awarded certificate a minor material value (5% discount voucher for the Rotunda gift shop) as a further insentive to pass the trials. I rang the Rotunda museum and spoke to Ian Read about the idea. Ian seemed very supportive and requested my email to get back in touch after he had spoken to the Rotunda operations manager about it. Unfortunatly a subsequent email from Ian stated that the operations manager had rejected the idea because the gift shop already made only a small profit on some of the retail, so a further discount wouldn't be worth it for them.
